Melissa & Leigh's New Year's Eve Wedding

Melissa and Leigh rang in 2017 with a most epic wedding at The Society Room of Hartford.

We took advantage of the weather and brought the wedding party down to Pratt Street for some stunning nighttime photos before the dance floor festivities began. It was a fantastic New Year's Eve celebration that won't soon be forgotten.

Fall Weddings

Kailee and Chet’s Harkness Engagement Shoot

We enjoyed a beautiful, romantic, silly, fun day at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford with this adorable couple.

Kailee and Chet are planning their wedding for May 2017 at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, but for their engagement photos, we took a trip to the always gorgeous Harkness Park to take advantage of the architecture, the gardens, and the view. It was a stunner of a day, only made better by the love that is evident between these two.

Rachelle and Kevin’s Elizabeth Park Wedding

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Elizabeth Park in Hartford when our bride and groom, Rachelle and Kevin, tied the knot. This sweet couple put their own special touches on their big day, from the antique jewelry the bride wore, to their sweet “first look,” the hand-drawn wedding sign, and even the ceremony location, surrounded by blooming purple clematis under the garden pergola. Thank you Rachelle and Kevin for inviting us to be there!

Opening Reception of “Mas: Costumes from Hartford’s West Indian Community” at CHS

We were thrilled to be invited back to Hartford’s Connecticut Historical Society and Museum to photograph the lively opening reception for this year’s Mas: Costumes from Hartford’s West Indian Community exhibition.

This exhibit showcases Trinidad-style carnival costumes (Mas) made by Hartford teens during the summer 2016 Mas Camp, the sixth year of a collaboration of the Connecticut Cultural Heritage Arts Program and the Connecticut International Cultural Carnival Association under the direction of Linford “Junior” Miller.

The colorful and elaborate costumes on display are similar to those worn in West Indian celebrations around the world, and were presented by the teens at Hartford’s Taste of the Caribbean Festival and West Indian Parade earlier this month.
